Suppose you decide to switch from a99% to 95% confidence interval. Without performing any calculations, will the interval increase, decrease, or stay the same? Which of the values in the formula will change?

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) reported that the mean number of hours spent per week on coaching and recruiting by college football assistant coaches during the season was 70. A random sample of 50 assistant coaches showed the sample mean to be 68.6 hours, with a standard deviation of 8.2 hours.

a. Using the sample data, construct a 99% confidence interval for the population mean.
b. Does the 99% confidence interval include the value suggested by the NCAA? Interpret this result.
c. Suppose you decide to switch from a99% to 95% confidence interval. Without performing any calculations, will the interval increase, decrease, or stay the same? Which of the values in the formula will change?

Problem #42

Dr. Susan Benner is an industrial psychologist. She is currently studying stress among executives of Internet companies. She developed a questionnaire that she believes measures stress. A score above 80 indicates stress at a dangerous level. A random sample of 15 executives revealed the following stress level scores.

b. Construct a 95 % confidence level for the population mean.
c. Is it reasonable to conclude that Internet executives have a mean stress level in the dangerous level, according to Dr. Benner’s test?

Problem # 50

Families USA, a monthly magazine that discusses issues related to health and health costs, surveyed 20 of its subscribers. It found that the annual health insurance premiums for a family with coverage through an employer averaged $10,979. The standard deviation of the sample was $1,000.

a. Based on this sample information, develop a 90% confidence interval for the population mean yearly premium.

b. How large a sample is needed to find the population mean within $250 at 99% confidence?

Research on Class Struggle and the French Revolution

Research on Class Struggle and the French Revolution
Class Struggle and the French Revolution research papers discuss the role of the classes in the Revolution, as explained by Karl Marx.
Research papers that examine the class struggle and the French Revolution can be custom written according to your exact guidelines. It doesn’t matter how specific you need the study on the French Revolution or the role of class at that time in France, Paper Masters can come through for you.
The struggle between social and economic classes also played a significant role in the French Revolution

There was political turmoil among the upper classes
Huge population growth among the peasants
Frustrated bourgeois class
The rural areas of France, where over-population was strongest and the social polarization increased when demand for land outweighed the available supply, that played a significant role as a cause of the French Revolution.
The peasants were expected to carry an increasing load of monarchy’s taxation in the final decade before the Revolution. Due to high taxes and other economic factors, the purchasing power of French peasants declined by 25 per cent over the five decades preceding the Revolution.

Meanwhile, landowners exploited the peasants, and the peasants demanded some for of agrarian law that limited the size of farms. Landowners, on the other hand, resented having to share their crops with peasants and tried to stop gleaning and free grazing practices, which further polarized the rural classes.

Class Struggle and Marx
Class struggle as a cause of the revolution was discussed by Marx as a “bourgeois revolution, uniting the peasantry and urban masses behind it, achieves the breakthrough from the feudal to the capitalist mode of production. For Karl Marx, the existent of class struggle was the inevitable cause of the revolution, and his view depended upon a class that was prepared to revolt. Unlike the romantic philosophers and writers who proposed ideals of liberty and democracy, Marx proposed the science of revolution that was both political and social in nature, and he and Engels based a great deal of their communist propositions on the events leading up to the French Revolution. According to the Marxist view, the French Revolution was the result of an increasing conflicts between advancing classes in a society where they were held back by an elite minority. This view of class struggle appears misguided in light of the populist nature of the French Revolution, which transcended class divisions.

What are the strengths and challenges presented in this solution?

The 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) is a landmark legislation that is considered by many to be the most significant advance in the United States healthcare policy since the passage of Medicare and Medicaid in 1965. However, the ACA is not without controversy stemming from opponents all along the political spectrum. Some believe the law has gone too far, others not far enough.

Aside of ACA, an alternative approach to healthcare delivery has been referred to as the “single-payer†system. Research the single-payer approach to healthcare delivery in the United States using your textbook, the Argosy University online library resources, and the Internet.

Address the following:

What are the strengths and challenges presented in this solution?
Identify any omissions in this solution and discuss how they should be addressed.
Identify any changes that you would suggest.
Based on your current situation in terms of healthcare coverage (insured by an employer, covered under a parent’s or spouse’s policy, receiving government benefits, uninsured, etc.), indicate how a single-payer plan would affect you personally. Also, indicate whether you are in favor of such an approach.

In the Visual Ability test, a split-brain patient was shown an image in the left visual field but could not name the object. Explain why and identify the specialized functions that were discovered with regard to hemispheric lateralization. Consider some of the difficulties the split-brain operation causes and the strategies you would recommend to help a patient manage them. Was it ethical to do this study? Was it right to trade the suffering experienced by participants for the knowledge gained by the research?

The RN to BSN program at Grand Canyon University meets the requirements for clinical competencies as defined by CCNE and AACN using nontraditional experiences for

practicing nurses. These experiences come in the form of direct and indirect care experiences in which licensed nursing students engage in learning within the context

The learning activity and corresponding assignment in this Topic requires students to perform a heritage assessment with families selected by the student from their

local community.
