Can we construct a model to measure leadership readiness among budding engineers?

Assessing Leadership Among Engineering Students

Description: Effective leadership involves creating an inspiring vision of the future, motivating and inspiring people to engage with that vision. A good and influential leader will always play a pivotal role in the delivery and achievement of this vision by building and managing a team. Today leadership is among one of the most highly sought after competences and skills among employees in various organizations. It has been deemed as a key criterion for career progression particularly in engineering professions. Leadership competency and development has become increasingly important in engineering education as different companies now look for engineers with leadership, communication and teamwork skills. Organizations in order to attain a competitive edge are emphasizing Higher Education to produce engineers who are capable of leading multidisciplinary teams, combine business acumen and innovate effectively. Recent studies have suggested that exposure at the undergraduate level to different leadership skills building opportunities can help young budding engineers to gain the key foundation of a strong and successful career. So what can be done in Higher Education curricula especially in the field of Engineering to increase the development of such leadership skills among students? This project will investigate the different factors which can facilitate the development of such leadership skills among engineering students. What skills do students need to possess or develop in order to become effective leaders? How can such skills be developed? Does Higher Education offer enough opportunities to develop these skills among undergraduates through their modules and curricula contents? How can we measure leadership competencies among future engineers? Can we construct a model to measure leadership readiness among budding engineers?

Draw contour plot of constant field intensity.

Electrical Engineering&Matlab(Laplace Equation)

the questions and graph is at the end of the pdf file. others are instructions.

Consider the rectangular domain as shown with the applied voltage on the
boundary:

• Write a Matlab code to find the electric potential V (x, y) and the
electric field E(x, y) at all grid points in the domain.
• Draw equipotential lines in the domain.
• Draw contour plot of constant field intensity.
• How much energy is stored in this device?
• Could this device be considered as a capacitor? If so, find its
capacitance.
• Disucss anything else about this problem that you find interesting or
important.

Discuss how these two unique contributions influenced nursing as we know it today

Select a nurse that historically contributed to the advancement of the profession.
Write a 2-3 page paper that responds to the following questions. Identify the nurse and his/her background and complete the following:

1.Provide a brief description of the major social issues occurring at the time this nurse lived

2.Describe two contributions made to nursing

3.Discuss how these two unique contributions influenced nursing as we know it today

Chapter 3

  1. Chinese government (after the Shang and Zhou periods) was divided into three ministries: a  civil authority, a military authority, and a censorate. This would remain until modern times. How did each dynasty (Shang, Zhou, and Qin) contribute to the development of this system? What was the role of Qin Shi Huangdi? Why did China need a strong central government?
