The topic that I would like to survey is what percentage of high school girls are on birth control. I think that this is really important to the healthcare field, because knowing what percentage of teenage girls are on birth control gives us a rough idea of how many teenage girls are sexually active. This can result in better nursing practice by knowing how to better understand and talk to teenage patients.

I will be testing a high school population of girls and surveying them about whether or not they are on birth control. This study is quantitative. The population of girls from a given high school will represent high school girls in the United States.

I will analyze the data by recording how many girls are on birth control in a given high school, and then comparing that to the amount of girls who are not, and this will give me a percentage of girls who are on birth control.

I expect to find that most girls that are in high school are on birth control. This may vary depending on the student’s honesty.
